well, i’m not quite sure how to change the font on these entries using the rich text editor, but in the meantime, i thought id welcome whatever visitors/readers still remain to the new version 9.0 of the smalrus website. as this is coming up on the 10th anniversary of the site, ive now migrated to the wordpress content management system. im super excited about it because it will allow me to work this site a lot easier.

all of the older pages however, will still remain in the old format. right now, there are over 500 pages in the old format and unless i can learn a way to streamline the conversion process, it is just too much work for me with too little amount of time to move forward on the project in general. like i said earlier this week, this will allow for more dynamic content and the ability for people to trackback (save specific post links) and leave comments on the work that i’m going to put forward here. the software itself is located server-side, meaning ill be able to update easily from anywhere and it still allows for html coding where i need it.

as for the thesis, for the sake of plagiarism, i dont believe that i’ll be putting up specific writings for my thesis because i dont want others stealing my work, however i will be putting up enough to stimulate some discourse on the subject matter and invite any and everyone to participate in the discussions.

anyway, over the next couple of weeks hopefully i’ll get further into the new format in deviating from the straight wordpress template and getting into something a little more personalized. i’ll also be bringing back some of the sidebar and footer information that i previously had and maybe tinkering with colour schemes (a lot of people find white text on black background easier on the eyes to read).

where is this all going in 2007? keep reading…
